Introducing Kaesong Yakgwa from Baodam, a premium Korean dessert brand.
This handmade pastry-style yakgwa is crafted in the traditional Kaesong method over the course of 72 hours.
Unlike the usual dense versions, it is moist, tender, and features delicate layers similar to puff pastry.
Perfectly bite-sized, it pairs wonderfully with coffee or tea. Each piece is individually packed in a neat tray with a transparent cover, then carefully placed in a gift box adorned with a phoenix design.

● A Meticulous 72-Hour Process!

The dough is carefully kneaded so that layers form beautifully without developing gluten.
It is fried twice — first at a low temperature to preserve the layers, then at a higher temperature for color and a crisp finish.
Excess oil is drained all day, flipping each piece back and forth on paper towels.
The yakgwa is soaked in honey syrup (cheong) for a full day, allowing the flavor to infuse deeply.
To prevent it from becoming overly sweet, the excess syrup is carefully drained for another day.
