In the mid-1980s, when Korean minhwa was overlooked and being lost overseas, we began collecting these works with a commitment to preserving cultural heritage. This led to the founding of Korea’s first minhwa museum in 2000 and the opening of the Korea Minhwa Museum in 2015, now the largest of its kind. Today, we preserve over 5,000 invaluable works.
